The Vietnam Impact Alliance (VIA), as the in-progress GSG Impact National Partner for Vietnam, aspires to be the peak national body dedicated to advancing the impact economy in Vietnam. VIA plays a strategic, systems-level role in building enabling environments, setting credible standards, and accelerating the flow of impact capital – creating the conditions in which the private sector thrives when delivering business solutions that tackle social and environmental challenges.
VIA’s Program Manager will manage day-to-day execution of VIA's strategy across its three pillars – Policy Engagement, Standard Setting, and Ecosystem Development – turning VIA's Five-Year Roadmap into scheduled activities, tracked deliverables, and completed outputs.
As VIA's first full-time hire, the Program Manager will help establish the operating rhythm, systems, and stakeholder relationships that VIA needs to deliver on its mandate and to sustain its status as an accredited GSG Impact National Partner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program and Working Group coordination
• Drive delivery of VIA’s Five-Year Roadmap (2026 to 2030), including an Impact Investing Landscape Paper, a standards and IMM mapping tool, an Impact Data Hub, a Bi-Monthly Meetup series, sector Communities of Practice, an Impact Newsletter, and an annual Impact Summit.
• Coordinate the Policy Engagement, Standard Setting, and Ecosystem Development Working Groups. Turn roadmap activities into work plans, schedules, and assigned owners.
• Support the Fundraising Working Group with proposal inputs, funder correspondence, and reporting logistics.
• Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and follow-up actions for Working Group meetings, in coordination with each Working Group lead.
• Track action items across all three Working Groups and escalate delays or resourcing gaps to the Executive Director.
Stakeholder and partner engagement
• Serve as a point of contact for capital providers, enterprises, government counterparts, and the GSG Impact global network.
• Support Policy Engagement activities, including consultations, roundtables, and dialogues with the public sector.
• Coordinate logistics and follow-up for convenings.
Administration, operations, and reporting
• Manage VIA's day-to-day operations and administration.
• Maintain VIA's external-facing materials, including website content, newsletter content, and event collateral.
• Contribute to periodic progress reports for the Board and funders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in program or project management, ideally in impact investing, sustainable finance, or international development in Vietnam.
• Working knowledge of impact investing concepts, such as impact measurement and management, blended finance, ESG, gender lens investing, and green taxonomy.
• Experience applying gender lens investing principles in program design, investment ecosystem development, funder reporting, or stakeholder engagement is required.
• Strong project management skills. Able to plan, sequence, and deliver multiple concurrent workstreams against deadlines with limited administrative support.
• Aptitude for coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives involving government, private sector, and civil society counterparts.
• Native Vietnamese proficiency. Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
• A bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
